As a matter of fact I think DLT will do very very well for two reasons:

1. Tape and tape device sales are directly driven by the amount of installed disk storage capacity, and I wager disk storage growth has accelerated along with faster price declines and greater available disk device capacities.

2. An income effect arising directly from the lower cost per MB of disk storage, resulting in correspondingly extra cash in enterprise IS budgets.

On the flip side, if you agree that QNTM's DD margins are lower than WDC then, given WDC's aggressive push into the high end, is there any reason to expect WDC not to make big market share gains there?
