Bush encouraged low income loans, while removing regulation from all banking sectors: youtube.com Telling the greedheads to go wild. What could go wrong? Everyone KNOWS markets regulate themselves! The unregulated lenders made no down payment, stated income, no doc loans to anyone with a pulse, while the unregulated bankers above them packaged those stinky, rotten mortgages into Mortgage Backed Securities that they sold around the world, while lying about the rotten mortgages hidden within them. Safe as houses!
