yes probably so...eventually the central banks will print enough money to cure the deflation, but how that plays out in terms of trend changes between deflation and inflation is unknown. The velocity of money may be an indicator to show when we transition from deflation to inflation.

here is some related commentary...quite shocking in how direct Roberts is when he addresses our problems. The one thing I thought was strange was that he did not discuss the fiat money as a key source of our problems (he talks about the derivative problems, but does not note that we would not have to hedge currency and interest rate risk as we do if the world currencies were linked to a solid anchor). Instead, he comments that lack of regulation of the financial industry was perhaps the key factor..
