From Connecticut February 13, 2012 Governor, please make Connecticut safe for elders My elder mother, Kingsley Hubby, residing in CT, has been subjected to state sanctioned exploitation, which is common in Connecticut, documented in Ron Winter’s book, Granny Snatching.
New Yorker, Dan Gross, drove to CT for a visit, became sick and was hospitalized and imprisoned in a nursing home, as his estate was raided, permitted by the court. 1
Because of lack of lawfulness in many CT Probate Courts, Yale Law Professor John Langbein has for years warned Connecticut elders with money to secure their estates and establish residency elsewhere, before reaching extreme old age & vulnerability to the unscrupulous. 2
The word is out that Connecticut doesn’t provide application of law in the courts with sufficient consistency for business confidence, explaining why CT lags in new job growth.
Kingsley Hubby was an exhibited painter; she solved London Times crosswords. She made a great friend and intervened when she learned an elder Black Pointer was abused in NYC.
After losing mental sharpness, Mom was subjected to relentless exploitation of her once enjoyable life by a famous in-law and others, empowered by attorneys whose bills went to Mom. Her physician son was displaced as health agent; her will was changed, and for the powerful Mom, was withdrawn from protection of state law, in violation of the US Constitution.3 Then folks without moral codes acted with abandon & mean chaos came to stay.
With family roots in CT back to the 1940’s, I’m trying to rescue my mother and help Connecticut too. With a reformed legal system, befitting the state’s gifted people and her promise, Connecticut will take her place in the sun.
Good people are asked to petition Governor Malloy on www.change.org to stand with my mother for application of the rule of law and have the legislature pass meaningful legal reform, specified by Professor Longbein and Steve Vicino at CT. Probate Advocates.

With empathy and heart for all our mothers, the people of Connecticut can bring about reform which will benefit every single person who lives there. youtube.com
