I just heard the Republican leadership say they have a messaging problem with minorities, women and gays.

But they don't have a messaging problem. They have a policy/platform problem which they do not want to change. I don't see them changing it.

Portman comes out for gay marriage only after he finds out his kid is gay. How about coming out for gay marriage before you find out your kid is gay? That is hypocritical.

Gays: With gays pubs are either for gay marriage or against it and there is no way gays will vote for Republicans "en masse" as long as they are against gay marriage. Regardless of messaging.

Women: until pubs stop harassing women and passing laws requiring invasive ultra sound, trying to shut down abortion clincs, planned parenthood, supporting personhood amendments or quit opposing violence against women legislation, more and more women will move to the dems.

Minorities: each has a different bitch with the pubs:

Latino's: pubs must support a path to citizenship and denounce self deportation.

Blacks: stop trying to prevent them from voting and openly support them.

Asians and Jews: quit being anti science.

That is the truth. Take it or leave it.
