Yes, there are more optimistic charts and views (and more pessimistic ones too) about Bakken and shale and tight oil, but overall I think it fairly reflects some of the negatives which are not well known.

I can and have been wrong more than once in my life, and I've been known to change my mind too - and this may be one example. But I don't think so when looking at the biggest pictures on peak cheap oil from all sources, and especially including the average 9%+ average price increase per year since 1973.

And please note that peak cheap oil <> peak energy or even peak cheap energy. Many excellent people are working in the energy area, this being one interesting possibility: theregister.co.uk

I have only minimal oil or energy investments.

Time will tell...
