"He's simply equivocating on what it means to be "Human". No. You are. You are using classic reductionism in stripping down the nobility and wonder of the human mind and emotions, and making the happenstance of 23 paired chromosomes (instead of, for instance, 24 in a chimp) the signature of humanity. In reality, it is irrelevant. Thinking, feeling, and reason are relevant. If you have none of those attributes, how are you any different than an egg or a rock or a fingernail?? Certainly, you are miles behind the chimp. Even if you are a century old...if you do not have a brain and have no sentience of any kind...then how are you different than an egg or a fingernail? "no one mourns when you clip your fingernails" But why not? Let us know if you figure it out...
