No doubt the 6 million is in a source database that isn't being maintained properly. I believe it was the correct figure for the first quarter 1997.

Too bad it went undetected for so long, it certainly overstated the extent of short positions and may have led some people to improper conclusions / actions.

At least the volume is cooling off. Perhaps that is the calm before CYMI storms back!!
