>> Why can't MCRE (almost $11) shake away from MACR (little over $9). MCRE should be much higher as they report nice earnings <<
Ya know, I was wondering this my own self. So I looked up the numbers on MCRE, MACR, and ADBE. It appears that The Powers That Be are painting all three with the same brush, at least in one respect: price times sales. As of last Friday, ADBE had a market cap equal to approx 3.4 yearly sales. MACR has a market cap of approx 3.4 times sales. MCRE? You guessed it, 3.4 times sales. Kind of weird, eh? Seems to me that the companies which are making good profit should be valued a bit higher.
But of course on the face of it, MCRE is losing money over the year because of merger charges. So if you are a clueless analyst (sorry, that was redundant), you see MCRE is losing money on a yearly basis, so is MACR, they're both in the same market, so what's the difference?
I think (hope?) that if MCRE shows solid profitability for this current quarter, it should finally start to get a little premium built into the stock price. Even though I have 'way too much of this already, I'll be buying if it sinks into the single digits on no news...
FWIW,
