OK, let's assume for a minute that there's a world of cheap/easy oil still out there -- and I'm not saying we don't and I'll explain. Given current technology, etc. where is this cheap and easy oil hiding?

Now, not to say that there isn't some technological advance that will reveal an ocean of cheap/easy oil out there, but if it's there, we don't see it -- or at least can't confirm it... yet.

Actually, if the nucleation theory of oil is true, we may indeed have not seen the last cheap/easy oil for a long long time, but I'm still studying the physics and geophysics (as much as my pea brain allows) and have not ruled it out or ready to jump on that bandwagon just yet. Certainly must be explored -- we may be seeing evidence of it now but can't/don't/won't recognize it a such.

Let's just say that as things stand given current tech and science (and market consensus), the cheap and easy stuff has mostly been found, if not produced.
