The hi-tech guys associated with Si Valley and the computer industry, ie semiconductors, computer software, circuit designers, computer designer, games, entrepreneurial software companies.....either R&D or manufacturing....
Here's an example......my grandson in his first year at UVa was offered a summer internship at Microsoft before he had even finished his first semester in Comp Science. He was flown back and forth to Seattle 3 times, was paid the annual equiv. of about 92K, got a housing allowance, car allowance, free membership to 1st class health club, free Metro Pass, and all interns were entertained at the end of the summer with an all day picnic featuring live bands, food, etc. They all received a new laptop and an underwater camera.... He has already been offered a slot for this coming summer, same perks, salary ?, and a 5K signing bonus.... You think maybe they want these kids?????? |
