What was that saying..none of the 49'ers made any money but the people who sold them shovels and blue jeans got rich? Sam Branan I believe was the richest man in Cali back in the 1840s and he did just that buying up everything a miner would need. I came across that name on an insider gurufocus article that I can’t seem to find right now. I noticed Royce was a 10% plus holder they are an okay MF IMO, but no big names. It sure does not look expensive like most everything else and is always a good sign when insiders are buying. Will not buy much anything this year if an insider is not buying or a big name is involved. RFP bounced again today, sad to say I got caught trading this name missed the last few days of pops but the good news is I must of made 60-70% on the money I invested in less than a year and the bulk was made in an IRA. I think the shorts are running for cover because it is going up nicely every day. Hard for me to buy back when it ran over 15% now since I sold even though it still is really cheap :( , my list got a little shorter very disappointed. Our other board member must be close to making his money back now after that run or even making some change if he averaged down. Anyways today was a good day I am gaining ground on the S&P. Looking @ the big names I respect Buffet, Grant and Berkowitz are bulls and the bear list is long Klarman, Gross, Bob, Prem, Grantham, Steve R, Jimmy, C&S, Schiller, Zell, Faber, Lewis and Stanley come to mind. I noticed MBC.to is @ a 52 week low today so I got in, I think everyone is waiting for them to produce some cash which should be soon. I really like this name just hard too put a meaningful amount of capital to work in a company that needs to keep raising money to stay in business. Stinks being bearish I feel like a sissy. Volume was rather large on Tuesday I believe over 700,000 maybe news is coming.
