Kumar, nice to see you posting. Where are you, and what are you doing? It would be interesting for anyone visiting this dusty old forum to update us on the changes in their lives since the Bubble burst in Y2K.

In my case, the loss of my temporary fortune hasn't been as significant as I feared. I still have the same wife, live in the same house, and my daily routine hasn't changed. I've been blessed with 4 granddaughters, and though they don't live nearby (2 in Seattle and 2 in Newport Beach), am delighted to say we are welcomed in their homes for very regular visits. I spend a lot of time tormenting the grandkids with my camera, and once in a while get lucky and harvest a treasure like this.

In terms of investing, I've reduced my risk profile. My largest (and only long term) investment is in a tech mutual fund. But I keep more than half of my portfolio in cash to take advantage of short term opportunities. My favorite play is in writing short term puts and calls.

I miss being rich, but life has been very good.

Warm regards,
Frank
