And who do these folks really hate?
If you watch what they post- when they label things for "jokes", or when they show things they hate (liike welfare) they almost always find a picture with a minority- at the moment, they are especially fond of pictures of blacks. When they talk about Michelle- it's always how ugly she is, or how "big"- it's almost as if they can't see a black person as pretty- unless that black person has caucasian features. I think many of them don't even realize what complete racists they are. If called on racism, no doubt they'd talk about race baiting- blah blah blah. But the problem (for them) is that the GOP is really really white. It doesn't appeal to minorities, because it is quite obviously hostile to them. That they may be able to find a few very conservative blacks to show up and give a speech, does not mean they "get" the needs of minorities, or that they are able to do outreach.
I have to say, as a democrat, I'm really glad the GOP is so freaking out of touch and so clueless. I like that they seem to be intending to offend everyone of just about every color other than white, and that they don't seem interested in appealing to the young. I think that's awesome. |
