Dear Mr. Normile: The screen I am looking at can be found at nasdaqtrader.com . If you enter MSFT in the Symbol entry field and then click on "View Report" a screen will show Datek (MM Symbol DATK) as an un-registered Market Maker doing a volume of 1,097,322 where as Island (ECN Symbol ISLD) did 1,044,436. This is typical for many securities I have checked using this Nasdaq Trading Data site. I have contacted NASDAQ and am awaiting a call from the maintainers of this site to explain this data. In the meantime feel free to look at this screen and try to explain it to the members of this thread. Although I am sure you try very hard to keep your servers running efficiently and reliably, it appears that Datek has a problem with consistentancy in both performance and reliability. I make this statement based not only on my own experience, but by the regular posts on this thread and the volume of e-mail I have received from fellow traders regarding Datek. Thanks for replying to my post and I look forward to a further clarification of this matter. Jack Zahran
