They should not have known anything. ABX was bound by a confidentiality agreement with Bre-X and that should have prevented them from disclosing details except on a need to know basis.

Well there must be gold there, it is just another element after all.
the sad part is that I can't prove it-if I could, I would have come forward.
You certainly have a case as do many others but it must have timed out by now. I'm surprised in the money hungry world of the stock market someone did not sue. The exclusion of the shorting is a bigger story than the non-gold of the deposit.

I recall Diamet getting sued by shareholders for not releasing news when the information was available to be released or so they claimed. The lawsuit got punted out of court.
