Hypocrites don't like to engage in discourse that exposes their hypocrisy

I've come to believe there's something bigger at play here. Their grade school moral vision is comfortable and immune to penetration by evidence or reason.

After publication of her latest, Gretchen Morgenson got some play even on PBS. Of that audience I'd guess only a tiny minority bothered to learn about the issues she and Rosner summarized.

There's a lot of intelligent people, busy just living their lives, unaware that understanding the lessons of history is crucial to their posterity.
