Reuters released the news at 4:05. Was the news avaliable anywhere before the market closed? Any guesses on tomorrows price action. On another note , while I slog along at 28,800 kbps always hoping for a faster service to come along it happened. The trouble is I won't pay the ridiculous price. I read the ad in PC magazine for Direc PC's turbo internet (a satellite system using a phone line return ),200,000 kbps they say for 19.95. To good to be true and it was. $600 for equiptment + instillation ,then the monthly charges :19.95 for turbo + ISP charges 19.95 + local telephone charges and line charge $140 for me on average + 50 Cents per meg per hour between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. (the rep I spoke to said ' About $4 per hour) $80 - $100 for a grand total of between $260-280 PER MONTH . I wish I could get @home for $39.95.
