re:You see these guys from Intel go on TV and look into the camera and say - we are doing exactly according to guidance - and they don't seem to understand what that guidance is. What that guidance is could be interpreted any way analysts want it to be. It is pathetic. I tend to agree...for the past few years anyway, I feel this stock is manipulated more than any other big stock I have seen. Mgt. guidance and information is very tight-lipped and conservative and they don't seem to respond to much of the mis-information that's out there. Intel's PR could also improve, imo. As a result, anal-ysts such as Kurlak literally make a living manipulating the stock price. Microsoft is similar to Intel with respect to being conservative and tight-lipped, but their stock doesn't seem to be manipulated as much. I'm guessing they have a much higher percentage of Insider holdings than Intel??? 1997 has definitely been a roller-coaster ride for Intel holders but at least we will manage a small gain for the year with all the turmoil. looking for a more consistent 1998. joey
