First, video games aren't decidedly a bad thing.

Neither is soda, but that won't stop Bloomberg from limiting the size thereof.

If it's moderation he's trying to enforce, then the same can be said for any excess you can think of. Too much soda. Too many video games. Too much Starbucks.

All of these products are backed by corporate dollars trying to get you to consume more. In your mind, this along with the common sense that too much of any of these is unhealthy, is enough justification to regulate them via government law.

That's total nonsense in my mind. You might as well live in a Demolition Man world and continue to deny the obvious.
