I believe that Bernanke's policies would actually have been a good thing, had it been coupled with a Congress that was serious about deficit reduction.

If they had actually cut the military and entitlements we would have needed even more from Bernanke in recent years. I'd have loved drastic cuts in the military, welfare, food stamps, public housing, raise the retirement age plus a create jobs program and infrastructure bank to rebuild America and giving people pride in earning an honest days work plus benefiting society at home as well as a significant multiplier effect in the real local economies. But as the right wing despise FDR thus that would never happen..
