Jeff Pintar was quoted in the WSJ this week to the effect that nearly every home listed for less than $400K in Orange County, CA "is being pursued by institutional investor capital."

Institutional money appears to only be in the big MSA's it is targeting. Probably due to going for volume, scale and more solid rental market closer to where the jobs are.

Think about this. If we have roughly 5M sales nationally in a year and the WS crooks took 20% share at $150k each that is 1M homes for a total of $150B a year which is a drop in the bucket for the crooks to create vast distortions in the marketplace..
