A note on methane hydrates at the bottom of the executive summary in that article:

If realized, the advent of the (flammable) ice age – methane hydrates – could
have an enormous impact globally.
The state-backed JOGMEC recently announced
the production of methane hydrates off the
coast of Japan, but any impact may not
come until beyond 2020, even if methane hydrates drilling were to become economic.
