If we were on a solar energy, an electric car, a wind power or an ethanol message board it would be silly to pretend that Obama policies favoring these industries and seeking to give them more and more tax dollars had no impact on these business models. Likewise we have had policies intended to limit oil companies and tax them at higher rates to support "green energy". Someone speaks the obvious on an oil company message board and dares to talk about how tax policies and political hostility might effect an investment and it's off topic? I don't think so.
