this is still the very much like the virus argument. i don't think it will happen. and yes, all cars will communicate constantly with each other. but they won't be able to write to any programs. they won't be able to override software, even if they had writing capability.
The issue with constant communications between cars is what if one will give bad data?

On the whole what you propose for the future may happen, but I think it's 20+ yrs away... But I think that as the technology evolves I think that it will realize the humans driving variable and adjust, such that older cars will still be on the road.
