"Investors", eh? Ah. To me, a reminder of the old White Horse Dialogue of my student days, i.e. a white horse is not a horse, dontchaknow -g-.

That is, the problem for me regarding the Dalbar article is that I don't see them define "investor". And to me that is the crux. So many people use "investor" to mean "market participant" or "market player" -- a commingling of investor and/or short-term trader and/or swing trader and/or ltb&h person. I don't though: I view "investors" as people who participate in "investment operations" -- not trading ones. And so I view the Dalbar article as incorrect as to what the performance of what I call "investors" is vs. what Dalbar says they find from the totality of whoever they characterize as "investors" (apparently any retail customer of a brokerage firm).

Just my view of course.
