* The S&P 500 Index originally topped at 1565.15 on October 9, 2007.

* One week earlier, Bob Brinker published this in the October 3, 2007 issue of Marketimer: "As we enter the fourth quarter of 2007, the Marketimer stock market timing model © remains in bullish territory. Marketimer has maintained a fully invested position in all of our model portfolios.....As we stated in the January, 2007 Marketimer, the risk of a cyclical bear market decline in excess of 20% is not on the radar screen.....We expect significant additional stock market progress into next year.....We see the potential for the S&P 500 Index to rise at least into the mid-1600's range next year."

* The S&P 500 Index bottomed at 676.53 a year and a half later on March 9, 2009. Bob Brinker was a buy-and-holder for the whole mega-bear ride.

* The S&P 500 Index finally returned to its 2007 closing high on March 28, 2013 (five and a half years later), it closed at 1569.19.

So Bob, what are you going to do next? Anything? Nothing? Stay fully invested for another mega bear, should it appear?
