Jeff,

Maria said that Northern Telecom is also interested in
buying Ascend. If this gets into a bidding contest between
Luscent and Northern Telecom, Ascend could easily be worth
45 or 50. Both of these companies have plenty of cash.
Wonder why so many folks were so skeptical.
