Are you under the impression that global warming would cause widespread drought?

Let's talk physics for a second. What happens when water gets warmer? does it:
A. turn into a solid
B. Condense into a liquid
C. Turn from liquid into gas

If you selected "C", you are correct. In other words, if you are truly talking "global" instead of localized conditions, you would expect more rain with more warming. Of course, another thing that will happen is that there will be more clouds and more clouds reflect the sun's energy back out into space, thus mitigating the warming effect.

You are welcome
