I saw it live. They replayed it twice. When he held his leg up it dangled, but not from the knee. The good thing is that he likely went into shock. I'm sure I mentioned this before, but as a freshman in HS, I had my left leg totally run over and squished by a station wagon (I was in the back seat driver's side, my mother was driving to the bus stop, we were late, she stopped at the stop sign, I opened the door at put my left leg out, she decided to continue through it to send a signal to the bus driver...). Anyhow, once she backed up off my leg I just held it up and it dangled with no feeling in it. I spent a month in the hospital, had two operations, had a cast for another month, limped for a month, and rehabbed doing cross country since my football career was toast. I was told I'd walk with a limp the rest of my life but ended up being captain of the track team, running a marathon senior year, etc. The human body can be quite resilient.
