"Then why did Toyota do a sizable power train deal with them?"

It was an innovative design, but I thought that was because of the battery requirements/advantages.

"I haven't heard anyone make that kind of claim. "

Motortrends car of the year.

"Honda's gasoline car is quieter"

So? I recall reading that electric cars are TOO quiet for the public and may need to have noise makers. Innovative design, great range, common plug, really fast, lots of room, hi tech dashboard, whats not to like? Well, theres the "brick thing" and 7ish years you have a flower pot, range fear on longer trips. they are building a brand. If the cars get good press over the next year or two (wall street article, was not good but so far its just one dislike), they should continue to sell out. So far I think Elon has excuted a pretty good strategy. A spec for sure, fun when they run though.

I wonder if Elon will try to intergrate SCTY and TSLA in a cross selling scheme. Not that your into the solar panel thing.
