Key Information (second post)
As there are now many Phase 3 studies that have reported positive results for hyperthermia, the Atzelsberg Circle (the short name for a group of European doctors) and a group of Italian doctors have been endorsing (microwave) hyperthermia. Both groups have essentially the same views. Here is a bit about the Atzelsberg Circle:

The Italian group has issued this report:

From the report by the Italian group, who endorse hyperthermia as the “4th Pillar” of cancer therapy (joining surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy):

<Conclusions

Hyperthermia, thanks to the improved systems for achieving an optimal distribution of heat inside the tumor and precise and noninvasive thermometry, is today an important treatment modality in the treatment of cancer, and its results are strongly supported by criteria of evidence based medicine. Fifteen years of experience of the Radiation Oncology Department in Verona confirms the positive results obtained with international prospective trials, with level 1 evidence. Hyperthermia is a therapeutic modality that, employing nonionizing radiations, can be used not only by radiation oncologists but also by clinical oncologists. Its addition to radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy is important when it is necessary to treat advanced or high-risk tumors, or to retreat a relapse in a pre-irradiated area. Hyperthermia appears to be the fourth pillar besides surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Its diffusion is to be hoped for because, against the common enemy, four weapons are better than three.>

BSD Medical is the acknowledged world leader in developing/providing those “improved systems” for hyperthermia. They have competitors, but they more-or-less dominate the hyperthermia scene with their 2000-series of machines! (Further, BSD M. has developed and provides the most effective and safest tumor ablation system, the MTX-180.) I have tried to convey that the company is not providing a therapy for just one type of cancer – an effective therapy for a wide range of tumors, instead. The above report strongly supports hyperthermia as a new regime for various cancers – and most of the world has approved hyperthermia. Our FDA is notably lagging – no surprise, really, as the FDA has had many problems in fulfilling its mission (such as loss of personnel, which BSD M. has noted as a problem for them).
