I have studied Leadership just enough to be able to recognise leaders. You are correct with the exception that Clinton was 1000 times more of a leader than Obama is. Clinton simply lead in a circle as dictated by daily poling to find out what he thought.

President Reagan was a great leader. President George H W Bush was already very good leader when he was elected. President grew into the leadership role; he was a decent leader when he was first elected and got better over time.

None of the Republican Presidents of modern times was less than a very good leader. Of the democrats in the office Clinton since Nixon only Clinton had any leadership ability at all. Clinton's was tiny in comparison to the stature of contemporary Republicans who he must be compared with. Even President Nixon had far better developed leadership abilities than Clinton.
