The Continental Dollar was the first default. Think we another one in 1933...and another in 1971. Another one is coming, one way or another. I think another President tripled the debt multiple times. When the debt started at $0, the first $1 went to $3, then $9, then $27 and so forth...but it didn't break our back. Now when up against a hard GDP limit where people lose faith in the currency we have a real problem. I think Reagan made plenty of mistakes but he didn't add any new entitlement programs that are now bankrupting us. Hey spending on Transporation projects, Defense, NASA that's all good stuff where we the taxpayer get tangible results back. These entitlements that weren't paid for give us turds in return. Welfare is for people with handicaps, not just people that are lazy or have below average IQs.
