You just don't know what you're talking about. Here is an AP story on the subject from '04. I know you're not a reader, but you might want to invest the time. The USSR would still exist today had it not been for Reagan. It might be weak (or maybe not), but it would still be around.


Dude, when the East Germans crossed over into West Berlin, facing no opposition.......do you really think it had to do with Reagan intimidating the East German police. It happened because the Soviets no longer had the ability to control their vast holdings. The same thing happened to the Greeks, the Romans, the Muslims and the Turks. There is never one causation that brings an empire down.........it is many things...........the prime one being mismgmt. Something the US dabbled with under Bush.

Frankly, in the years to come, now that the great GOP propaganda machine has been broken, I expect the history of Reagan's presidency and his impact on the country to be rewritten and to be much more negative.
