When does the fusion era begin???

First fire, 2025. First operating reactor, 2030. Multiple reactors in place by 2035 when the first one supplies all of Japan's electrical need.

Y'all have lost lost a lug nut.

Who? If you'll remember, I'm a physicist.

What has changed about electric cars since last discussed? Nothing.

Not much. They were viable 100 years ago, but scale production of gasoline at much lower cost killed them off. Fusion kills fossil. They aren't economic now, but breakeven isn't very far away. It isn't critical for the EV industry to substantially precede cheap electricity.
