Look at it from their point of view. Reagan is the only conservative, Republican president that was anything more than mediocre. I know but they're grooming him for sainthood. If the Pope were S. Baptist, the Vatican would already have their petition. Not that he was great, but at least he wasn't a failure and/or an embarrassment. The only decent to great Republican presidents were all very liberal, up to and including Lincoln who would be aghast at the Republican party today. Yup. In R terms, a successful pol is one whose failures aren't all that obvious and he didn't embarrass them like Guv Jindal with his 'here today; gone tomorrow' sand berms or Sen. Larry 'tap tap' Craig.
