This update only effects how URLs are displayed and has no effect or bearing on the speed with which they open. The speed external sites load t is a matter we have no control over; we can only control how fast SI pages load. And that is very fast, according to Alexa, SI is "Very Fast" - 97% of sites are slower. :)
