HES was a table pounding buy when it went down to 40$. I owned lot's if it, but right now, I think the hedge funds have milked it and it's close to fair value. I think the game will repeat itself with DVN and maybe with APA (somewhat less likely). OXY is also mentioned as a stock that might become an activist target (see the Barron's article this week).

Now is one of those times when it's cheaper to drill in Wall Street than to do the actual dirty work.
