It's not food and shelter, but Obama phones they're after. It seems it's not just one Obama phone but several. There is so much fraud in this system it's unbelievable.50 million people are on food stamps. 90 million people are unemployed. Seems to me that we have a welfare problem and a jobs problem. Those things don't get solved by printing more money.
Just read a small business survey, where the average small business plans on hiring...wait for it....0% over the next 12 months. Not good.
So what to do? Do we print and deficit spend and hope for change? Or do we do something real like prosecute bankers, wind down big banks, bring back Glass Steagle, finalize Obamacare and get it implemented to remove uncertainty, stabilize the dollar, raise interest rates, balance our budget, cut the military, cut oil subsidies, cut subsidies for other countries, bring our troops home and close bases around the world, invest more in education and infrastructure and natural gas and renewable energy, stabilize social security, audit the Fed, audit all welfare programs for fraud. Etc etc. I can think of a million things to do that would help. |
