Whew! Glad I stuck with this one. I trippled my total shares at 15 7/8 and was really starting to sweat. I am an avid gamer and work with about 15-20 PC gamers who make >70K per year. Every one of them owns a 3DFX card or is planning on buying one. Those that have 3DFX cards are ALL planning on upgrades to Voodoo 2. Many agree that the beauty of these cards is that it gives your gaming PC legs. Most would be considering an upgrade computer by now if it were not for 3D cards. Of course Intel must know this and I'm sure they are hard at work on finding a way to stop 3DFX. In the long run it will hurt their home PC market. What do you think Intel will do? I'm hoping that they will go for some half baked on the chip solution ( MMX2?) because if they do I think this company can stay 2 steps ahead.
My other worry is the lack of OEM contracts. I think the problem is that the cards are too expensive. Any comments? I was a early invester in IOM and we waited a long time before the OEM's came aboard. But like 3DFX, it was early dopters that bought Zip drives and it took about a year and half for the OEM's to start offering them as standard. If 3DFX can just get Dell to offer the card as a option it would be a great start.
If the Voodoo 2 works as well as the early reviews say it will I think we will have a great year ahead of us. I do believe 4th Qtr. may be hurt by many gamers holding out for the Voodoo 2 though.

Happy Investing!
