Mohan, I HATE AOL too. Had it, dropped it, picked up Frontiernet and had voices on my modem for 6 months. Everytime I called Frontier and told them about the voices they thought I was crazy. After 3 months of frustration I finally got them to come out and check my lines and change my server address. Still I heard the voices and continued to get bounced. Another 3 months went by with the same problems and after numerous calls to the VP at Frontier I decided to cancel and have my computer phone line disconnected. When they disconnected the line I plugged in a phone and low and behold I still had a dial tone. Turns out when the line was originally connected Frontier somehow spliced a neighbors phone line into my house, so everytime I heard voices it was because my nieghbor was using thier phone. NOw I have AOL again and I STILL HATE IT. DJF
