Only reason IMHO we even had FDR with the power he had was because the Hoover lead GOP was a total disaster in curtailing a depression in 1930-32.. Today the timing was off as Obama became president a few years too soon..

Not necessarily.........the years Hoover was president were wasted. There was real progress under Obama in his first term albeit at a very slow pace.
