Yes, because the asking of documentation was used to discriminate. Its how the Germans found out who were Jews when they didn't 'look' Jewish. Its how employers found out if the perspective employee was from the 'right' familes/origin.
Apparently, as an immigrant, you don't really understand the history of this country and as an engineering major, you never took a pych course so you don't know all the ways humans discriminate.

Are you athletic? Ding.
Were you in a frat? Points if you were...........more points if they were one of the big four mostly white, mostly Christian frats. If you were a nerd, a ding.
Dress? Dress like a nerd. A big ding. Dress cool.......points.
Are you married? Points. Single.....ding.
Do you speak with a lisp? Ding.
Are your teeth straight? Points.
And I don't care what Asians thinks about whites, blacks about whites etc. The only thing that matters is what whites think. |
