Oh OUCH! Anybody listen to the ANV CC from the 9th? ............. ............... ANV recently replaced the Prez & CEO, and the founder & Chmn of the BOD took the roles. This is Robert Buchan - whom I have suggested following his money around as a good investment strategy. He appears to be a no BS guy. anyway.... So Buchan starts off the CC announcing Caldwell's departure and appears to slam him BIG time. Usually these things are rather polite. They say Caldwell moved on to explore other interests or some other euphemism, but NO! not here. Buchan states flat out, up front that Caldwell was gone because the BOD lost confidence his leadership. Then Buchan made it painfully clear that there is NOTHING wrong with the project, the geology, etc. just that the execution was bad. In fact, he said "there was everything wrong with the implementation..." Further he said that of the three he can fix the management piece. Wow! What a slam of Caldwell! He must have really pizzed Buchan off to get that kind of public dressing down. That is lawsuit kind of stuff - damage a guy's rep over the long-term. But if you had any doubts as to the direction ANV is headed....
