With all due respect, I will add my two cents worth to the point you are trying to convey.
Have you considered Paul's teachings to the effect that the Jews' hearts were temporarily hardenned in order that God could bring the Gentiles into His flock, but that He would not forsake the people of Israel forever?
It seems to me that Israel's rejection of Jesus is only a temporary situation. In due time, I believe, the Jews will recognize Jesus as the Messiah. Do not forget, the Promise was first made to the Jews. We Gentiles, in my humble opinion, should, in a strange kind of way, be thankful for the Jews' rejection of Christ, because their action made it possible for us to be adopted into the family of God.
Quite frankly, I have a lot of respect for all Jews, not because I agree with everything they do, but because I am convinced that they, as a People, are the apple of God's eye. This is just my opinion, of course. Please no not be offended. |
