56K Boca modem will be appeared at Comdex. The Newport Beach, Calif.-based division of Rockwell International Corp. plans to demonstrate its technology at November's Comdex/Fall 96 and introduce a group of modem chip sets that implement the technology; in addition, Rockwell said it will submit its technology to the International Telecommunications Union. Boca Research Inc. of Boca Raton, Fla., and Hayes Microcomputer Products Inc. of Norcross, Ga., said it will show off its implementation of the 56-Kbps technology at Comdex. Officials at Global Village Communication Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif., were unavailable for comment.
