J onni Sissons’ passions include her hobbies and spending time with her family. Ms. Sissons enjoys cooking, listening to music, fine architecture, interior design, and fashion. Some of Ms. Sissons’ personal interests include relaxing by the fireplace, cooking and eating with her family on taco night, and spending summer seasons on the Sunshine Coast in Vancouver, British Columbia. Jonni Sissons holds love for her husband and son, who all share some of her favorite pastimes.
One of Jonni Sissons’ friends, Ray Signorello Sr., operated the Signorello Estate in Napa Valley, a highly rated winery that produces some of the most impressive wines in California. While he once shared a classic family recipe with Ms. Sissons, an Italian version of French toast, Mr. Signorello was committed to winemaking. He was quoted as saying, “Winemaking isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. And it shows in our wines.” Jonni Sissons enjoys creating the Sicilian toast recipe, which feeds a party of three, for her family.
Jonni Sissons also participates in family taco night, an occasion she lists as one of her 10 favorite things. Other items on this list include lunch at Serafina in New York, pedicures at The Spa at Camelback Inn in Arizona, and Ikat pillows designed by Madeline Weinrib. One of Jonni Sisson’s favorite restaurants of all time, Serafina provides a menu of Northern Italian food for its diverse group of customers. This restaurant is known for its provocative use of flavor in its dishes, which range from soup and salad to pasta and pizza.
Throughout her life, Jonni Sissons has possessed a fervor for the finer things. She maintains a collection of beautiful souvenirs from different places all over the world. Jonni Sissons also enjoys several interior design books and websites.
