I think the story with gold is just what Jim R says, nothing goes up in a straight line, and gold has been up every year for the last twelve, so there will probably be a good pullback for a while. I will try to keep an eye on some gold stocks.

Am glad to read that Grantham is bullish on nat gas. On the other hand I have gotten pleasure from reading analysis of the us which say we will have a manufacturing boom and a stronger dollar because of the plentiful energy picture. I guess it stands to reason that this optimistic scenario is no more correct than that of the people who said that oil and gas prices could only go higher about five years ago.

Have not followed Sand RIdge. A lot of people post about it I think, and there are a lot of fans, I have the feeling it is often a bad idea to fall in love with a stock. It is probably a good value now that it has been in trouble.

Berk is doing well for a change, very nice. I hope BAC does not bomb. Hope MBI gets a deal this year too.
