Gramps, your broker is talking about Pure Gold Minerals. Well before the play got underway, when Alberta diamonds were just a speculative dream, PUG was trading at $2.00 or more (in post-consolidation dollars). Before a recent share consolidation the stock was worth $1.50 (post-consolidation dollars), the day after, $1.24. It went as low as .90, and is now $1.05. If it were valued the same as the lead partner, Ashton Mining of Canada (ACA-TSE) based on percentages of land owned, the stock would be $1.60 today.

Your broker is so right, with prospects like that Pure Gold with 15% of a diamond property which will PROBABLY go to the bulk sampling stage on multiple pipes...and the market cap is only $24 million...there are some crazy things going on in this market.

Anyway I picked up some PUG myself at $1.07. Even with a proper valuation based on their percentage of the play, it should be worth $1.60 tomorrow but what do I know.

Angry old shareholders and plain fearful folks have been dumping, and the analysts are making those 'scare-off' noises about the recent results (someone ought to tell them to get their facts straight, but then again these are the people who recommend Bre-X, Western Copper, Cross Lake, etc. etc.).
